The Cyrillic version of Ælbrocan was the second script to be designed. The nature of Cyrillic design, with a very block-like focus and strong vertical strokes made it a natural fit… almost. The difference between traditional Cyrillic type design (Old Church Slavonic for example) with newer as well as handwriting at times leads to having three distinct options. Much consultation between type designers and native readers was needed to ensure the all important readability factor. Eventually, alternative characters to handle regional variations will be added as well as all Old Church Slavonic letters.
